Targets

Metric AI’s Target feature allows you to monitor key metrics across your system and compare actual performance against predefined Target values. Targets can be set for any metric in the system, enabling you to track progress at various levels of your organization.

Configuring Targets at Every Level

You can define Targets for any metric in Metric AI at one of the following levels:

  • Organization-wide (Organization > Targets) : Monitor overall performance across the entire organization.
  • Tags: Set Targets for specific categories such as departments, clients, teams, or other custom tags.
  • Projects: Track performance for individual projects.
  • Individuals: Assign Targets to specific team members to measure their contributions.

How to Set a Target

  1. Navigate to the Targets Section on Organization, Tag, Project, or Individual level:
    • Organization-wide: Organization > Targets .
    • Tags: Tags > Tag Category > a Tag > Targets.
    • Projects: Projects > a Project > Targets.
    • Individuals: People > a Person > Targets.

  1. Click New target.

  2. Select a Metric you want to set a target:

    Tip

    You can start typing the metric’s name to quickly locate it.

  1. Select a Period:

    • You can select a relative period (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Annual), a Custom period (any specific selected range), or Total (for the entire duration).
  2. Enter Target value based on your goal (for example, set a revenue Target of $500,000 for Jan 2024).

  3. Enter Description you want to display on the target (optional).

  4. Save the Target
