Utilization shows how busy employees are. Metric.ai collects information from multiple services and calculates utilization of the organization based on total hours or available capacity.

You can select the type of employees to represent the organization's utilization:

It is common practice for time offs to be tracked in particular projects. With Metric.ai, you can exclude or include time off in the utilization dashboard output.

Utilization is the percentage of time spent on billable projects vs. the total time worked. But you decide what is total time for your company by choosing one of the following:
  • Total tracked hours in selected types of projects and time-off approach
  • Available capacity, which is based on employees' availability (full time, part time, or hourly)
